Jill Reading
Jill is an experienced classroom teacher who has spent most of her career in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs. She is passionate about the use of Information & Communications Technologies (ICT) to support learning and moved into the role of Regional Curriculum Consultant in 1999.
Her role involved working with schools on Professional Development relating to ICT and organising events such as film training, student led professional development involving teachers and students learning together as well as Expos of promising ICT practice. In 2005 Jill was named the ICTEV Leader of the Year and in 2008 was awarded a UNESCO commendation for ICT leadership.
Jill has developed a new ANSN hub focussing on 1:1 Laptop Learning for schools – a developing area enabling schools to support their 21st Century students and the way they learn. Jill is currently an Ultranet Coach in Melbourne’s Western Metropolitan Region and has written articles on the importance of school leadership being critical in the eLearning development of their school.
