Interactive Whiteboards Hub

Girl using IWB

From 2007 to 2010 the Australian National Schools Network (ANSN) hosted interested teachers and clusters in a number of professional learning circles investigating the use of Interactive whiteboards in classrooms

“Can IWB’s help to improve teacher pedagogy and student learning outcomes in the classroom?

The project was designed and developed by the ANSN in partnership with Commander Australia Limited. Participants were involved over a period of 12 months. Teams of THREE teachers attend each of the days. This was to help provide continuity not only of the learning undertaken, but also for other teachers attending the days that can expect to meet and build professional relationships with colleagues from other schools.

The Schools/Clusters received an interactive whiteboard, data projector and softward fully installed in a designated classroom with options and incentives to purchase additional boards. The participants had access to a comprehensive training program facilitated by Kate Seabrook from Commander whiteboards.
